Mobile App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the mobile apps published by Alex Eagle (“we”, “our”, “us”), including Runes, Magick, Norse Tradition on the Apple App Store and Elder Futhark Runes & Magick on Google Play (“the App”).

Your privacy matters to us, and the short version is simple: the App works entirely on your device. It has no accounts, asks for no personal details, and sends nothing you write to us or to anyone else.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

None. The App has no sign-in, no account and no registration. We never ask for your name, email address, date of birth, location or any other personal detail.

Anything you type into the App — the question you ask before a reading, the readings you save, your settings — is stored only in the App’s own storage on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we cannot see it. Deleting the App deletes it.

This information is tied to an anonymous app-instance identifier, not to you. It is not linked to your identity, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. We use it only to see which parts of the App are used and to fix crashes.

We do not collect sensitive personal information of any kind.

2. No Advertising, No Tracking

The App shows no advertisements. It contains no advertising SDK, and it does not access the device’s advertising identifier. We do not sell, rent or share your information, and nothing in the App tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites.

3. No Server, No AI Processing

The App does not connect to any server of ours, because we operate none. All of its content — the rune meanings, the articles, the formulas, the images — is bundled inside the App itself and read from your device. It works with no internet connection at all.

Nothing you type is sent anywhere for processing. The App contains no artificial intelligence features and sends no data to AI providers.

4. No Purchases

The App is free. It contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, and it processes no payments.

5. No Community Features

The App has no accounts, no posts, no comments and no user-generated content of any kind. Nothing you do in the App is visible to anyone else.

6. Data Storage

Your saved readings, completion marks and settings are held in the App’s private storage on your device. They are not backed up to us, and we have no access to them.

They may be included in your device’s own backup — iCloud on iOS, Google backup on Android — if you have that enabled. That backup is governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy, not ours.

7. Cookies

The App uses no cookies. Our website may use cookies where necessary for functionality, analytics, security or performance.

In practice we hold almost nothing that could identify you: the App collects no personal data, and the analytics and crash data described above is anonymous. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, or ask what we hold, contact us at the address below.

To stop contributing anonymous analytics and crash data entirely, delete the App.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the applicable minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions are always published on this page, with the date at the top.
