What is high magick?
There are two kinds of magical arts.
Low magick is focused on everyday needs: love, money, luck, protection and manifestation.
High magick is aimed at the spirit. Its goals are to grow the soul, to heal and evolve the spirit, and to unite with the divine. This is called the path of the Great Work. It is the Great Work of the soul, and it is the mission of every soul.
I mostly focus on high magick, but I also practise low magick when I need it.
What is theurgy?
Theurgy is a spiritual practice that works with higher forces: the spirits of ancestors, the gods, the great teachers of humanity and all other kinds of divine beings, including the Creator. The theurgist calls on them, prays to them, makes offerings to them and builds a relationship with them.
This practice is used to gain protection, to grow and evolve, and to receive the support of higher forces in magical work. Divine beings can do far more spiritual work than we can, because while we live in a human body, our power and energy are limited by this human form.
The divine beings, the higher forces, are not limited by human form. In fact, they are not limited by any form at all, not even by space and time itself. This gives them a much greater ability to do spiritual work.
A theurgist works with these divine beings through rituals and consecrated magical tools, asking them for help and making offerings to them.
